Xfm has signed hip hop artist Scroobius Pip to host Saturday night show, The Beatdown, starting April 27.

During the show, which is to run from midnight to 1am, he'll play a variety of hip hop and spoken word tracks. The rapper, whose discography includes Angles and The Logic Of Chance, said he 'couldn't pass up' the chance to work with Xfm and that he wants to 'shine a light' on hip hop tracks that don't get enough exposure.
